Who we are
The Dignity Traders (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a trading-education business based in India that operates the website thedignitytraders.com. For the personal data described in this policy, we are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) — meaning we decide why and how that data is processed.
We handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the DPDP Act and the rules made under it (as and when they come into force) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data that you share with us through this website — for example when you register for The Dignity Reveal, send an enquiry through our contact form or write to us by email.
If you enrol in one of our programmes, we may give you additional information about how data connected with your participation is handled. Where that information differs from this policy, it will apply to that part of our relationship.
The data we collect
We collect the minimum we need to respond to you. When you submit one of our forms, we collect:
- Your name and email address — so we can reply to you.
- Your phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to give it — so we can reach you that way if you prefer.
- Your trading experience, from the options in the form — so we can share information that is relevant to you.
- Your message, if you write one.
- Your consent — a record that you ticked the consent box, and when.
- How you found us — which form and page you used, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_source,utm_mediumandutm_campaign). - Your approximate country, which our hosting provider derives from your connection. We do not store your IP address with your enquiry.
When you simply browse the website, our infrastructure provider processes technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
Please do not send us sensitive information we have not asked for — for example your trading or bank account details, passwords, one-time passwords (OTPs) or government ID numbers. We will never ask for your broking account login.
How we use your data
We use your personal data only for the purposes you would expect when you contact us:
- to respond to your enquiry or registration;
- to share information about The Dignity Reveal, our sessions and our programmes, which you asked to receive;
- to understand which pages and campaigns bring people to us, so we can improve the website;
- to keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse; and
- to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you, and we never use it to send you trading tips, calls or signals — we do not provide them.
Consent and withdrawal
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the consent box on our forms, and, where the DPDP Act permits, for other legitimate uses such as complying with the law.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it — simply email support@thedignitytraders.com or reply to any message from us asking us to stop. Once you withdraw consent, we will stop contacting you and will erase your data unless we are required by law to keep it. Withdrawal does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers (“Data Processors”) who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website, stores form submissions in its database service (Cloudflare D1), may deliver notifications of new enquiries to our team by email, and provides spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, where enabled, privacy-friendly website analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Our email and messaging providers — when we write to you, or message you on WhatsApp or by phone because you gave us your number, those services process the conversation under their own terms.
We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it — for example to comply with a valid request from a court, regulator or law-enforcement agency.
Where it is processed
Our service providers operate global infrastructure, so your personal data may be processed or stored outside India. Where this happens, we rely on providers with appropriate safeguards and we will not transfer personal data to any country or territory that the Government of India has restricted under the DPDP Act.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above — generally while we are in conversation with you about our sessions and programmes. We then erase it, unless we need to keep it for longer to comply with the law or to resolve a dispute.
If you withdraw consent or ask us to erase your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
How we protect it
We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal data, including:
- encrypting data in transit (HTTPS) across the whole website;
- storing form submissions on managed infrastructure rather than on personal devices;
- limiting access to the people in our team who need it to respond to you; and
- using spam and bot protection on our forms.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act promptly to contain it and will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- Correction and completion — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it;
- Erasure — ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent;
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how your data has been handled; and
- Nomination — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@thedignitytraders.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. The DPDP Act also asks you to provide accurate information and not to make false or frivolous complaints.
Children
This website and our programmes are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will erase it.
Cookies and similar technologies
We keep this to a minimum:
- No advertising or tracking cookies are set by this website.
- Analytics — where enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to measure visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites.
- Security — Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It may process technical signals from your browser for that purpose only. Cloudflare may also use strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site.
- Session storage — if you arrive through a tagged campaign link, your browser temporarily remembers those campaign tags so they can be included if you submit a form. This is cleared when you close the tab.
Grievance redressal and contact
If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your personal data, please write to us at support@thedignitytraders.com with the subject line “Privacy”. We will acknowledge your message and respond within the time required by law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example if our services, our providers or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes that affect how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before they take effect where we are able to.
